2023 Subaru Solterra Electric Crossover Teased In Revealing Images.
Toyota was the first to open its electrocross, but it is still in the status of a pre-production concept, the SUV under the bZ4X index made its debut last April. A couple of teasers of this SUV were distributed by Subaru and at the same time the company announced the trade name of the model “Solterra”.
The Subaru Solterra will be the brands first EV. The electric crossover makes an appearance in some very revealing teaser images. One of them offers an unobstructed view of the vehicles profile after playing with the picture in Photoshop.
The Solterra was sharing parts with the Toyota BZ4X electric crossover, these shots revealed the distinct design similarities. The two vehicles are almost identical. The only obvious change is that the front fender flares have a matte finish, rather than glossy on the BZ4X. The Subie roof is the same color as the rest of the body, rather than being black.
The 2023 Solterra will go on sale in 2022. Subaru says the model name comes from combining the Latin words “sol” and “terra”, which mean “sun” and “earth” respectively.
The company has not releasing powertrain, battery, or range details about it yet.
